kilo.jsonc
The config file also sets the context window and image input. Add this to ~/.config/kilo/kilo.jsonc, the global config:
{
"$schema": "https://app.kilo.ai/config.json",
"model": "openai-compatible/qwen3.6-35b-a3b",
"provider": {
"openai-compatible": {
"options": {
"apiKey": "{env:MALLARD_API_KEY}",
"baseURL": "https://api.mallardai.co.uk/v1"
},
"models": {
"qwen3.6-35b-a3b": {
"id": "qwen/qwen3.6-35b-a3b",
"name": "Qwen3.6 35B A3B",
"tool_call": true,
"attachment": true,
"modalities": { "input": ["text", "image"], "output": ["text"] },
"limit": { "context": 262144, "output": 32000 }
}
}
}
}
}Kilo Code reads {env:MALLARD_API_KEY} only in trusted config, such as this global file.
This config caps output at 32,000 tokens, leaving the rest of the 262,144-token context window for the prompt.
