These terms are the agreement between Radiant RX Ltd, trading as Mallard AI, and you for using our API with an account from us. You accept them, and our Acceptable Use Policy, when you open your account. If you use the API for a business, our Data Processing Agreement also forms part of them.

In short

  • The API is open to individuals and businesses, aged 18 or over.
  • You pay in advance and spend the balance. Prices are per 1M tokens.
  • If you're a consumer, you can close your account at any time and get your unused balance back.
  • Zero data retention (ZDR): we don't store your prompts, images or outputs, and we never use them to train a model.

1. About us and these terms

  1. 1.1 These terms are between Radiant RX Ltd, trading as Mallard AI, registered in England and Wales, company number 15211321, registered office 45 Chaucer Close, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG24 9DW, United Kingdom ("we"), and you, the person or business using our API.
  2. 1.2 To contact us, email support@mallardai.co.uk.
  3. 1.3 You accept these terms and the Acceptable Use Policy when you open your account, and again when they change.
  4. 1.4 If you reach our models through a router such as OpenRouter, your contract is with the router. Of our documents, only the Acceptable Use Policy applies to you. Our agreement with the router governs fees, liability and data protection for that traffic.

2. Who can buy

  1. 2.1 You must be 18 or over.
  2. 2.2 You can use the API as a consumer or for a business.
  3. 2.3 You can buy from the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, or from any of the countries where Onelink handles the tax. We don't sell to consumers in Quebec.
  4. 2.4 You confirm that you aren't subject to UK, EU or US sanctions, and that you won't use the API for anyone who is.

3. Your account

  1. 3.1 You open an account on our account page with your email address and a password.
  2. 3.2 Before your first top-up, you tell us your country and whether you're buying:
    1. as an individual, with your full name; or
    2. for a business, with its name and postal address and, if it has them, its company and VAT numbers.
  3. 3.3 Keep these details up to date on your account page.

4. API keys

  1. 4.1 You create and revoke API keys on your account page, up to 5 at a time.
  2. 4.2 We show each key once. We keep its hash, its first 8 characters and its label, never the key.
  3. 4.3 Your keys are for you, or for your business and its users. Keep them secret. You're responsible for the requests made with them.
  4. 4.4 If a key may have leaked, revoke it at once. It stops working within a minute.

5. Prices and paying

  1. 5.1 The API is prepaid. Your balance is the credit in your account, in pounds. You add to it by topping up by card on your account page, with any amount from £5 to £1,000, and each request's cost comes off it.
  2. 5.2 Prices are per 1M tokens, on our Pricing page. A request costs its input, cached input and output tokens at those prices, as its usage reports them. Reasoning counts as output, and images as input.
  3. 5.3 How you pay depends on your billing address.
    1. With a billing address in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, you pay us on Stripe's checkout, in pounds. No VAT is charged: Radiant RX Ltd is not registered for VAT. If the address you pay with turns out to be elsewhere, we refund the payment in full. To top up through Onelink, change your billing country in your account.
    2. Anywhere else, Onelink (Sold through Link, LLC, part of Stripe) takes the payment as merchant of record. It charges in your currency and adds any tax due where you are, and your balance gets the full top-up. It sends your receipt and handles questions about the payment, and your card statement names it. Its Sold Through Onelink Terms apply to the payment. If your billing address is in a country where it doesn't handle the tax, we refund the payment in full.
  4. 5.4 We email you a confirmation of each top-up, with its amount, what you agreed to at checkout and how to cancel. Your account page lists your top-ups.
  5. 5.5 Your balance can only be spent on the API, and can't be passed to anyone else.
  6. 5.6 When your balance reaches zero, new requests are refused until you top up. A request that is already running finishes, and its cost can take your balance below zero. Your next top-up covers it.
  7. 5.7 With a billing address in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, you can turn on automatic top-ups. Whenever your balance falls below the level you choose, we charge the card you saved the amount you choose, up to 5 times a day.
  8. 5.8 Each automatic top-up is a top-up like any other, with its receipt and, if you're a consumer, 14 days to cancel it under section 7.
  9. 5.9 You can change automatic top-ups, turn them off or remove the card at any time on your account page. If a charge fails, we turn them off and email you.
  10. 5.10 If a payment is refunded, or disputed with your card issuer, we take the credit it bought off your balance. This never takes your balance below zero, so credit already used stays used. If a dispute is decided in our favour, the credit comes back.
  11. 5.11 We give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price changes. The new price applies to requests made after it starts. If you don't accept it, you can close your account before then, and we refund your unused balance.

6. Free credit

  1. 6.1 Your account gets £1 of free credit once your email address is confirmed, on the conditions in this section.
  2. 6.2 Free credit is once per person, which means one claim for each mailbox.
  3. 6.3 When we compare email addresses, we ignore capital letters, "+tags" and the dots in Gmail addresses. For example, Name+news@example.com is the same mailbox as name@example.com.
  4. 6.4 We keep a record of each mailbox that has had free credit, even after its account closes, and delete it 2 years after the claim.
  5. 6.5 Free credit isn't available for addresses at throwaway email domains.
  6. 6.6 Each email domain has a limit on claims in any 30 days. This limit doesn't apply to large mail providers that many people share, such as Gmail and Outlook.
  7. 6.7 There is also a daily limit on all claims. Once it's reached, no more free credit is given that day, and you can claim yours on a later visit.
  8. 6.8 Free credit is spent before the credit you pay for. It has no cash value, is never refunded, and is lost when your account closes.
  9. 6.9 We may refuse free credit, or take it back, if someone tries to claim it more than once.
  10. 6.10 Wherever these terms refund your unused balance, they mean the part of it you paid for.

7. Your 14 days to cancel a top-up

  1. 7.1 If you buy as a consumer, your credit is ready at once, because you ask for that at checkout: "Start now. If I cancel within 14 days, I get back the credit I haven't used."
  2. 7.2 You can cancel a top-up within 14 days of paying for it. We refund the credit from it that you haven't used, to the card you paid with. Credit you've used isn't refunded.
  3. 7.3 To cancel, email us. We confirm by email, with the date and time we received it.
  4. 7.4 If you bought through Onelink, it may also refund under its own policy.
  5. 7.5 Businesses aren't asked at checkout, and don't have this right.

8. Using the API

  1. 8.1 We run open-weight AI models on our servers in England, and return their output. Each model's page gives its limits and licence.
  2. 8.2 Output can be wrong, incomplete or offensive. You decide how to use it, and you're responsible for that, including any duty to label AI-generated content you publish.
  3. 8.3 You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy, and make sure your users do.
  4. 8.4 We may suspend your key, without notice where needed, to stop a breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, a security risk or unlawful use. We tell you why, unless the law stops us.

9. Your content and data

  1. 9.1 You keep all rights in your prompts, images and outputs.
  2. 9.2 Zero data retention: we don't store your prompts, images or outputs. We process them only to answer your requests.
  3. 9.3 We never use your prompts, images or outputs to train a model.
  4. 9.4 Our Privacy Notice lists the records we keep, such as your account details and request metadata, and for how long.
  5. 9.5 If you use the API for a business, our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these terms and prevails over them on personal data.
  6. 9.6 You must have a lawful basis for any personal data you send, and give people any notice the law requires.

10. Models and changes

  1. 10.1 Each model is made by others and used under its own licence: Qwen3.6 35B A3B under Apache 2.0.
  2. 10.2 We may change or withdraw a model for a valid reason:
    1. its maker withdraws or replaces it;
    2. its licence, a security issue or the law requires it; or
    3. our measures of its quality, speed, cost or demand show that another model would serve customers better.
  3. 10.3 We email you at least 30 days before we withdraw a model. We give less notice only where its licence, a security issue or the law requires it.
  4. 10.4 If a change materially affects you, you can close your account and we refund your unused balance.

11. Availability

  1. 11.1 The API can be unavailable at times.
  2. 11.2 Our Service Levels page gives our availability target. We don't promise any level of availability unless we agree it in writing.
  3. 11.3 Each API key can run 4 requests at a time, or more if we agree it with you. Until your account's first top-up, it can run one request at a time.
  4. 11.4 The API answers 429 when a key is already running as many requests as clause 11.3 allows. When the server is busy or down, a request can wait for capacity, and the API answers 503 if none comes free.

12. Your legal rights

  1. 12.1 If you buy as a consumer, the law says we must provide the API with reasonable care and skill, and that what it supplies must match its description. If it doesn't, you can ask us to put it right, or for some or all of your money back. Nothing in these terms affects these rights. Citizens Advice explains them.
  2. 12.2 If you buy as a consumer outside the UK, you keep the rights your country's law gives you that can't be excluded.
  3. 12.3 Australia: our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits them, or your rights to a remedy, including a refund, under that law.
  4. 12.4 New Zealand: if you buy for a business, you agree that you're acquiring the service for the purposes of a business, and that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 doesn't apply, as section 43 of that Act allows. If you buy as a consumer, it applies in full.

13. Liability

  1. 13.1 If you're a consumer, we're responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable. If you use the API for a business, we're not liable to you for lost profit, lost business or business interruption.
  2. 13.2 If you're a business, our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the greater of what you paid us in that period and £100. We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data.
  3. 13.3 The limits in clauses 13.1 and 13.2 don't apply to amounts you owe us, to section 14, or to liability the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

14. Business customers

  1. 14.1 If you use the API for a business, you will compensate us for third-party claims arising from your content, or from a breach of the Acceptable Use Policy by you or your users.
  2. 14.2 Each of us keeps the other's non-public information confidential.

15. Closing your account

  1. 15.1 You can close your account at any time: in your account's settings, or by email if you have paid credit left.
  2. 15.2 If you're a consumer, we refund your unused balance to the card you paid with.
  3. 15.3 If you're a business and you close your account, your unused balance isn't refunded, except as clauses 5.3, 5.11, 10.4, 16.1 and 17.2 say.
  4. 15.4 We may close your account on 30 days' notice, and refund your unused balance.
  5. 15.5 We may close it at once for a serious breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. We then refund your unused balance, less anything you owe us.

16. If we close the API

  1. 16.1 We give at least 30 days' notice by email before we close the API, and refund your unused balance.

17. Changes to these terms

  1. 17.1 We post changes to these terms here, with the date. We email you 30 days before a material change takes effect.
  2. 17.2 If you don't accept a material change, you can close your account before it takes effect, and we refund your unused balance.

18. Complaints

  1. 18.1 Email us and we'll reply within 14 days. If we can't settle it, our reply will say so.
  2. 18.2 We are not a member of an alternative dispute resolution scheme. You can get advice from Citizens Advice, or make a small claim in the county court.

19. General

  1. 19.1 These terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and, for business customers, the Data Processing Agreement are the whole agreement between us.
  2. 19.2 No one else has rights under them.
  3. 19.3 Sections 9, 13 and 14 and the Data Processing Agreement continue after your account closes.
  4. 19.4 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute. If you're a consumer in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also go to your own courts. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of its consumer law.
